Like with the continued love for Counter-Strike, people still play Air Attack because it offers a great game play and design that is lacking from many modern games. Yet the online community for this game speaks for itself. The first thing that you will notice about Air Attack is its pre-dated look with pixellated backdrops and a very simplistic HUD. While the games graphics may look dated, the aircraft design and damage engine is particularly noteworthy, offering a level of game play that many other air simulators lacked at the time. As with these other games, its a 3D vertical scrolling flying game where you must gun down planes as well as take out military vehicles and bases on the ground. Play with either a keyboard or joystick, depending on what you have lying around. You can play on public servers or set up a password-protected private game. Air Attack has a simple premise, fly around and shoot the other aircraft. Also, the desktop background can be installed on any operation system: MacOX, Linux, Windows, Android, iOS and many others. I would also like Air Attack 1 to become compatible with iOS 12. My only wish is that they make an Air Attack 3. It has tremendous replay value, not only for the incredibly depth of gameplay, but how the entire game is presented. This represents an extremely rare case of getting everything right. The level of detail, imagination, and gameplay dynamics is unprecedented.
